FREE Guided Walk -Women and Power in Westminster

This Inside Out walk explores the legacies of women who defended and challenged the status quo to create the world we live in today.

Join us for "Women and Power in Westminster," a free walking tour that is part of the Inside Out Festival in Westminster in August 2023. Supported by Westminster City Council, this three-hour tour explores how women exercise power in public spaces and highlights the legacies of women who challenged the status quo and created the world we live in today. The tour will take place around Parliament Square and Whitehall, featuring stories of working-class women and women of colour. The meeting point is by the Buxton Memorial Fountain where you will hear stories of escape to freedom! We will end with a march from Caxton Hall to Parliament Square and the statue of Millicent Garrett Fawcett. Please get in touch if you have any accessibility needs or concerns.
